Nine Months and Counting


Arthur Everett Duffy was born at 3:50 a.m., April 23, 2008.  He weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces and was a little more than 20 inches long.

Bobbi has a post on her myspace blog titled “Due dates are for suckers.”

I’ve got to say, I completely agree with the title of that blog entry, but I’m not sure I agree with her optimistic appraisal of the situation.

So three woman walk into a Fairbanks bar…wait a minute, that joke doesn’t make any sense because I don’t think you can find three women in Fairbanks right now who aren’t pregnant and shouldn’t be in a bar.

 So…yeah…we thought it would be fun if we held a little friendly contest to see who knew babies the best.  The winner will get a prize (Bobbi’s being pretty mum on what that prize actually is…but knowing her it’ll be something crafty or delicious or both).

So check it out, and please make a guess.  You can change your guesses as many times as you want up until April 1st.  After that, we’ll let nature pick the winner.

Bobbi and I were driving in the car today and she casually said (while nonchalantly looking out the window) “Six months…”

She was referring to the fact that she is now in the sixth month of her pregnancy.  She may have been nonchalant, but I started freaking out right there on the Steese Highway.

Bobbi is far from waddling. She has a “baby bump” that is certainly growing, but I’ve actually been pretty surprised with how small she still is.

Eventually, though, she’s going to get bigger as the baby grows and starts moving in furniture and stuff.

It’s nice to know that she won’t be falling over all the time…

Double Yolk

Bobbi made deviled eggs for Thanksgiving.  One of the eggs was a double yolk.
